In just six months, the largest tax hikes in the history of America will take effect. They will
hit families and small businesses in three great waves on January 1, 2011:
First Wave: Expiration of 2001 and 2003 Tax Relief
In 2001 and 2003, the GOP Congress enacted several tax cuts for investors, small business
owners, and families. These will all expire on January 1, 2011:
Personal income tax rates will rise. The top income tax rate will rise from 35 to 39.6
percent (this is also the rate at which two-thirds of small business profits are taxed). The
lowest rate will rise from 10 to 15 percent. All the rates in between will also rise. Itemized
deductions and personal exemptions will again phase out, which has the same mathematical
effect as higher marginal tax rates. The full list of marginal rate hikes is below:
- The 10% bracket rises to an expanded 15%
- The 25% bracket rises to 28%
- The 28% bracket rises to 31%
- The 33% bracket rises to 36%
- The 35% bracket rises to 39.6%
Higher taxes on marriage and family. The “marriage penalty” (narrower tax brackets for
married couples) will return from the first dollar of income. The child tax credit will be cut in
half from $1000 to $500 per child. The standard deduction will no longer be doubled for
married couples relative to the single level. The dependent care tax credit will be cut.
The return of the Death Tax. This year, there is no death tax. For those dying on or after
January 1 2011, there is a 55 percent top death tax rate on estates over $1 million. A person
leaving behind two homes and a retirement account could easily pass along a death tax bill to
their loved ones.
Higher tax rates on savers and investors. The capital gains tax will rise from 15 percent
this year to 20 percent in 2011. The dividends tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 39.6
percent in 2011. These rates will rise another 3.8 percent in 2013.
Second Wave: Obamacare
There are over twenty new or higher taxes in Obamacare. Several will first go into effect on
January 1, 2011. They include:
The Tanning Tax. This went into effect on July 1st of this year. It imposes a new, 10%
excise tax on getting a tan at a tanning salon. There is no exemption for tanners making less
than $250,000 per year.

The “Medicine Cabinet Tax” Thanks to Obamacare, Americans will no longer be able to use
health savings account (HSA), flexible spending account (FSA), or health reimbursement (HRA) pretax
dollars to purchase non-prescription, over-the-counter medicines (except insulin).
The HSA Withdrawal Tax Hike. This provision of Obamacare increases the additional tax on
non-medical early withdrawals from an HSA from 10 to 20 percent, disadvantaging them relative to
IRAs and other tax-advantaged accounts, which remain at 10 percent.
Brand Name Drug Tax. Starting next year, there will be a multi-billion dollar tax assessment
imposed on name-brand drug manufacturers. This tax, like all excise taxes, will raise the price of medicine, hurting everyone.
Economic Substance Doctrine. The IRS is now empowered to disallow perfectly-legal tax
deductions and maneuvers merely because it judges that the deduction or action lacks “economic substance.” This is obviously an arbitrary empowerment of IRS agents.
Employer Reporting of Health Insurance Costs on a W-2. This will start for W-2s in the 2011
tax year. While not a tax increase in itself, it makes it very easy for Congress to tax employerprovided
healthcare benefits later.
Third Wave: The Alternative Minimum Tax and Employer Tax Hikes
When Americans prepare to file their tax returns in January of 2011, they’ll be in for a nasty
surprise—the AMT won’t be held harmless, and many tax relief provisions will have expired. The
major items include:
The AMT will ensnare over 28 million families, up from 4 million last year. According to the
left-leaning Tax Policy Center, Congress’ failure to index the AMT will lead to an explosion of AMT
taxpaying families—rising from 4 million last year to 28.5 million. These families will have to
calculate their tax burdens twice, and pay taxes at the higher level. The AMT was created in 1969 to
ensnare a handful of taxpayers.
Small business expensing will be slashed and 50% expensing will disappear. Small businesses
can normally expense (rather than slowly-deduct, or “depreciate”) equipment purchases up to
$250,000. This will be cut all the way down to $25,000. Larger businesses can expense half of their
purchases of equipment. In January of 2011, all of it will have to be “depreciated.”
Taxes will be raised on all types of businesses. There are literally scores of tax hikes on business
that will take place. The biggest is the loss of the “research and experimentation tax credit,” but there
are many, many others. Combining high marginal tax rates with the loss of this tax relief will cost
jobs.
Tax Benefits for Education and Teaching Reduced. The deduction for tuition and fees will not
be available. Tax credits for education will be limited. Teachers will no longer be able to deduct
classroom expenses. Coverdell Education Savings Accounts will be cut. Employer-provided
educational assistance is curtailed. The student loan interest deduction will be disallowed for
hundreds of thousands of families.
Charitable Contributions from IRAs no longer allowed. Under current law, a retired person with
an IRA can contribute up to $100,000 per year directly to a charity from their IRA. This contribution
also counts toward an annual “required minimum distribution.” This ability will no longer be there.

WHY I BELIEVE…… WE MUST DUMP HARRY REID

WHY I BELIEVE…… WE MUST DUMP HARRY REID
I learned earlier this year Harry Reid attempted to hold “Firesides” in Southern Nevada at LDS church locations to do as Harry always does in the political season - - that is, attempt to get the LDS, or Mormon, vote by leveraging his religion to get votes. This is not a new concept to those of us LDS Church members who have lived in this great State of Nevada for very long, in my case 25 years.
His firesides were going to be themed “Why I Believe”. Since for whatever reasons (you probably can figure it out) Harry Reid was not allowed to hold these LDS Church Firesides, I decided to send out my own “Why I Believe We Must Dump Harry Reid” emails. I plan to send out a few of these before we get to vote to Dump Harry Reid on November 2.
REASON NO. 1 – Harry Reid puts politics over principles related to our military efforts and supported our enemies causes.
As evidenced in the above video clip, the Bush administration had decided on a strategy referred to as “the Surge” to take the upper hand in winning the war in Iraq. If this is taken to a vote of our government leaders and some vote “yes” and some vote “no”, that is perfectly OK to do this and vote according to your own reasoning, either way. But for heaven’s sake, don’t go out and say things that are discouraging to our troops, emboldening the enemy, which causes an even stronger enemy effort and costs more lives, and styling for political gain. Many consider to be treason. You decide.
Ask yourself how much Captain Moroni, a military leader from Book of Mormon notoriety, would have appreciated someone back home in government criticizing the war effort and resolve, a modern-day Pahoran of sorts, emboldening the enemy for political gain even while they carried around the Title of Liberty, a flag or banner made of the captain’s own coat which reminded the troops of what they were fighting for, our freedoms, religion, God, wives, children, etc. Sound familiar?
If you had a son, daughter, friend or relative fighting for our freedoms, how would you like to see your own government leader on Al Jazeera TV in the Middle East proclaiming “THIS WAR IS LOST”? The video was indeed used by our enemy to their benefit. Ripley wouldn't even believe this.

9-11-01 We will never forget!
I feel many emotions on this day- I find myself glued to the TV watching any documentaries or specials that are on, I always watch the movie The World Trade Center, and I cry every time I see those towers come down. I teach my children about what happened that day, why it happened and who did it, I want them to know.I am overcome with grief and sadness but I am also confused and annoyed. Not with who you might think. The terrorists that did this are evil, there is no doubt and we live in a world filled with evil but I am always amazed at the short attention span of this country. After 9-11 we were filled with patriotism- united as a country- and we recognized heroes. President Bush did an amazing job of uniting us and bringing us all together. Despite the tragedy it was a great time of unity for this nation.
What has happened since? It seems that not much of thoses feeling remain. Anger, false accusations, bickering, turning on each other and worst of all we have forgotten what happened that day. What do we need terrorists for when we have plenty of enemies right here in America?
I hope you will all take the time to reflect on this day. To reflect on all those people whose lives were lost, all those heroes that died, all the families that still suffer to this day. Acknowledge all those heroes recogognized or in the shadows. Remember that we live in the greatest country in the world, that we have the right to fight for our freedoms, remember those that still fight daily to protect and serve us.
Never forget 9-11, never forget where you were that day or how you felt. Never forget what that day meant and still means today. That's how we win, we go on, we persevere, we keep fighting, and most importantly, we never forget!

Sharron Angle
I am getting sick to death of these ridiculous Haryy Reid attack ads, I mean they are ridiculous. Is anyone actually buying them. He is playing clips of comments Sharron Angle has made on several different issues, it is SO obvious that they chop it up without letting her finish. If you actually hear the rest of that speech you will see she has some fantastic ideas.
People's biggest concern right now seems to be her idea of getting rid of social security, well that's how it would seem based on Harry's commercial. In reality she want's to get rid of social security as it is now and fix it. The system is broken and let's be honest- how can that hypocrite Harry Reid attack her when he and his cronies have BANKRUPT social security!! Unless someone fixes it, it will all be gone. At least she has a plan to do something!
My current biggest beef at the moment happens to be members of the Mormon church who think that because he is LDS that automatically means he is good and they should vote for him knowing nothing but this about me. AHHH makes me want to rip my hair out. As a member of the church myself I think he is the devil. The man is a dishonest, dirty politician. He is a liar who will stop at NOTHING to be re-elected- including stepping on and trying to ruin members of his own church who oppose him! (Yes this is a fact and I know who he did it to!) This man is NOT to be trusted Nevada, DO NOT be fooled.

Happy 4th!
I hope you all take the time this Independence day to reflect on our great nation, yes I said GREAT nation, and the things that made and still make it great. We need to remember those that gave up and sacrificed everything including their lives to create this nation. In the words of one of my favorite patriotic songs, "who more than self their country loved." Look at how our lives have been blessed and enriched because of sacrifices of those brave men and women.
God truly had a hand in the birth of this nation, that can't be denied, we defeated the most powerful military in the world at that time. We beat all odds, overcame the obstacles and hardships and grew into the strongest nation in the world. We are going down the wrong path no doubt. People have forgotten what made us so great, people don't know or care about the founding fathers, people don't know or care about God, and people take their freedom for granted on a daily basis.
I pray we never forget, that we start appreciating the things we have. We need to love our country, love our liberties, and our freedoms. This still is (despite opposite views from our President) the greatest nation on earth. One nation, under God! Happy Independence Day everyone!

Yeah like I didn't see this one coming..
I was waiting for this one, after Obama's complete NON-RESPONSE to the oil spill disaster (see video below for his real priorities). One had to wonder hmmmm what does he hope to accomplish by this? You know the tree hugger, environmentalist types were just drooling over this. Oil is evil they say and now here is their chance to show the world. Then comes his great noble speech to his fellow Americans about our oil addiction blah blah blah and how we will be pushing our hardest now for alternative fuel sources, blah blah blah, even though it will cost you all a fortune while I am warm and cozy in my mansion with my millions, blah blah blah. Honestly I can't listen to the man without wanting to drive my car into a pole so I don't have to hear him anymore.
Do you know our dear Obama also rejected several other countries offers to come in and help clean up the oil spill. Why would he do that? I though he was doing EVERYTHING in his power to help? He is taking this tragedy and using it for political gain. This man doesn't care who he steps on, on his rise to power. Want to know whose fault this tragedy really is? The wackos who are exploiting it, the environmental nut jobs, if it weren't for them forcing us to drill so far off shore where it's not safe, this wouldn't have happened. Your right we shouldn't be off shore drilling, we should be drilling on our own soil where we have millions of gallons of oil just waiting for us, we wouldn't be so dependant on foreign oil if we could just drill for our own you morons!

Oh come on, you know you laughed!
Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting. Well, for example, the other day I went downtown and into a shop. I was only there for about 5 minutes, and when I came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket. I said to him, 'Come on, man, how about giving a retired person a break'? He ignored me and continued writing the ticket. I called him a 'Nazi.' He glared at me and wrote another ticket for having worn tires. So I called him a 'doughnut eating Gestapo.' He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he wrote a third ticket. This went on for about 20 minutes. The more I abused him the more tickets he wrote. Personally, I didn't care. I came downtown on the bus, and the car that he was putting the tickets on had a bumper sticker that said, 'I ♥ Obama.' I try to have a little fun each day now that I'm retired. It's important to my health.

Something just occurred to me...
So I was folding laundry and my mind was drifting as it often does... I was thinking of that Christina Agulera song- the one that got an award for being pro gay tolerant or whatever, "I am beautiful no matter what they say.." I was trying to figure out why it bothered me so bad then it hit me.
I've always been a very stubborn person- I don't like to be told what to do or how to think. So what it boils down to is I'm tired of having things crammed down my throat. For example, while I believe in the sanctity of marriage and that it should be between husband and wife, I am not anti-gay people. I do not approve of the life style but we live in a country where people have the right to be who and what they want, I can respect that that is THEIR choice and they are still good people. Unfortunately it is not that simple, the outspoken left has decided that if I disagree with their lifestyle then I am a homophobic or prejudice, it has to be shoved in our face 24/7- songs about it as if the rest of us are saying they are bad people, we aren't it is just not the lifestyle we choose.
Tree-huggers and environmental wackos, another movement that makes me angry and want to barf. I recycle, I turn off the lights when not in use etc.. I be live in appreciating and taking care of this gift God has given us but they have decided that I don't love the planet because I refuse to take 3 minute showers or I don't drive a hybrid, or don't use the kind of light bulbs they have decided I should use, or I don't think nature should come before people. (I guess I hate animals to then). It is not okay for everyone to believe what they want, they want to FORCE us to believe and act how they say.
**As if you need more proof that global warming is a bunch of baloney- it is the end of May in Vegas and we just barely hit 90 degrees, haven't even had an average day yet you wackos!
The peace sign- I wish we could live in a world of peace, but peace and safety comes at a price, I refuse to wear or use anything with a peace symbol because in the 1960's it was an anti war symbol. I wish it were not necessary but it is, if it weren't for war, we wouldn't have this great nation and evil would always prevail.
They believe guns are evil so yet another thing they want to force on everyone. Another reason I have begun to be an avid gun supporter, how dare they try to take away my 2nd amendment right? I am learning how to shoot and contributing to the NRA just because they say I shouldn't.
So what it boils down to is I am fed up, fed up of being labeled because I disagree, but if that's the way they want to play then so be it but they are stirring a pot that's going to boil over. I am not the only one sick and tired of living in their politically correct world, a lot of people (including me) are simply going to act opposite just to prove our points!
I've always been a very stubborn person- I don't like to be told what to do or how to think. So what it boils down to is I'm tired of having things crammed down my throat. For example, while I believe in the sanctity of marriage and that it should be between husband and wife, I am not anti-gay people. I do not approve of the life style but we live in a country where people have the right to be who and what they want, I can respect that that is THEIR choice and they are still good people. Unfortunately it is not that simple, the outspoken left has decided that if I disagree with their lifestyle then I am a homophobic or prejudice, it has to be shoved in our face 24/7- songs about it as if the rest of us are saying they are bad people, we aren't it is just not the lifestyle we choose.
Tree-huggers and environmental wackos, another movement that makes me angry and want to barf. I recycle, I turn off the lights when not in use etc.. I be live in appreciating and taking care of this gift God has given us but they have decided that I don't love the planet because I refuse to take 3 minute showers or I don't drive a hybrid, or don't use the kind of light bulbs they have decided I should use, or I don't think nature should come before people. (I guess I hate animals to then). It is not okay for everyone to believe what they want, they want to FORCE us to believe and act how they say.
**As if you need more proof that global warming is a bunch of baloney- it is the end of May in Vegas and we just barely hit 90 degrees, haven't even had an average day yet you wackos!
The peace sign- I wish we could live in a world of peace, but peace and safety comes at a price, I refuse to wear or use anything with a peace symbol because in the 1960's it was an anti war symbol. I wish it were not necessary but it is, if it weren't for war, we wouldn't have this great nation and evil would always prevail.

New Disease
Information about Gonorrhea Lectim
The Center for Disease Control has issued a warning about a new virulent strain of this old disease. The disease is called Gonorrhea Lectim. It’s pronounced “Gonna re-elect ‘em,” and it is a terrible obamanation.
The disease is contracted through dangerous and high risk behavior involving putting your cranium up your rectum. Many victims contracted it in 2008…but now most people, after having been infected for the past 1-2 years, are starting to realize how destructive this sickness is.
It’s sad because Gonorrhea Lectim is easily cured with a new drug just coming on the market called Votemout. You take the first dose in 2010 and the second dose in 2012 and simply don’t engage in such behavior again; otherwise, it could become permanent and eventually wipe out all life as we know it.
Several states are already on top of this, like Virginia, Utah, New Jersey and Massachusetts, with many more seeing the writing on the wall.

President Obama has nominated Solicitor General Elena Kagan to the United States Supreme Court. Her opposition to the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy and her apparent opposition to the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) are cause for concern.
While Dean of the Harvard Law School, Kagan threw military recruiters off campus on the grounds of opposing the law prohibiting open homosexuals from serving in the military. "This action causes me deep distress," Kagen wrote. "I abhor the military's discriminatory recruitment policy." It is a "profound wrong - a moral injustice of the first order." Her decision was essentially overturned by the Supreme Court on a unanimous 8-0 vote, showing how far out of the judicial mainstream her thinking is.
Ms. Kagan has already tipped her hand on one of the most important issues that is likely to come before the Supreme Court. Overturning 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' will have a devastating impact on military morale, recruitment and retention. Plus, there will be no possibility of promotions for officers and chaplains who defend natural marriage as a matter of conscience.
Any officer with deeply held views about the immorality of homosexual behavior would have no future in Elena Kagan's military. Our national security is far too important to become a plaything in the hands of judicial activists like Ms. Kagan would certainly be. Her nomination ought to be rejected on these grounds alone.
Plus, Ms. Kagan is part of the Department of Justice that filed a brief which declared "this Administration does not support DOMA as a matter of policy [and] believes that it is discriminatory."
Marriage between a man and a woman is the cornerstone of any healthy society. To put someone with such hostility to natural marriage and duly enacted law on the Supreme Court is an unacceptable threat to this profoundly important institution.

Contact your senators and insist they investigate Kagan's impartiality on matters pertaining to the homosexual agenda.
